From the series of work entitled "Absences" (2002) which explores the Highland Clearances, an ethnic-cleansing of native peasant farmers in Scotland in the 19th-century to make way for (more profitable) sheep-farming. The exhibition included digital prints and a CD sound-track (Catalogue available here) and was the first sound installation in the Czech Republic. This print depicts a typical crofter's cottage seemingly engulfed in the flames of the Scottish flag of Independence.
Digital print on Hahnemuhle paper, A4, (2002). Limited edition of 50, hand-signed, numbered and dated.
