From the series of work entitled "Absences" (2002) which explores the Highland Clearances, an ethnic-cleansing of native peasant farmers in Scotland in the 19th-century to make way for (more profitable) sheep-farming. The exhibition included digital prints and a CD sound-track (catalogue available here) and was the first sound installation in the Czech Republic. This print shows the 'ghosts' of the displaced peasant farmers leaving their homeland on the West coast of Scotland for Canada and the Americas.
Digital print on Hahnemuhle paper, A4 (2002). Limited edition (50), hand-signed, dated and numbered.
