From the series of work entitled "Absences" (2002) which explores the Highland Clearances, an ethnic-cleansing of native peasant farmers in Scotland in the 19th-century to make way for (more profitable) sheep-farming. The exhibition included digital prints and a CD sound-track (Catalogue available here) and was the first sound installation in the Czech Republic. This print shows the 'ghosts' of the former farm labourers working the fields in Skye. Over the sea behind lies Canada and America where many would be exiled.
